Living for Jesus calls us to emulate Him by loving others through a lifestyle of “radical unselfishness”.

 

All disciples of Jesus are on a life-long quest to pattern their lives after Him. And just as His life was characterized by His willingness to give up all that He had for those around Him, it is our desire to do the same. In a world where it is “every man for himself”, we seek to be a body that is marked by a more Christlike “radical unselfishness” where it is every one of us for another.

“For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again. So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!”
